Evan you are absolutely right.
What I meant is that white people, as opposed to BIPOC, need to want racism to be dealt with in enough number and with enough action to dismantle it systemically. It's not enough for every non-white person to want it, whites have to want it too and be willing to take a stand for it.
I didn't meant to imply that the solution was easy, or to negate the difficult and sustained/ongoing efforts needed to do so permanently. I can see how what I said seems oversimplified. This is something I've been repeating like a mantra in my sphere to spur white folks to act. But you are correct - there's nothing "simple" about it.
